SOREN KISIEL is the co-author and co-director of Broad Comedy, an all-women sketch comedy and political satire troupe written with his wife comedian Katie Goodman, which has played to sold-out houses in three-month runs at Boston’s Stuart Street Playhouse and at the Acme Comedy Theatre in West Hollywood, been featured on Showtime’s The Green Room, and last year had its first Off-Broadway run in New York City, named a Time Out New York Critics’ Pick. Soren is the author of the children’s books The Night Our Parents Went Out and Once Upon a Tree, and is currently developing an animated tv project with rock legend Pat Benatar, and working on his first novel. He also makes up fake stories about monsters in Brooklyn’s largest park at ThisWeekInProspectPark.com. Soren has a second-degree blackbelt in taekwondo, and is ordained in the Plum Village Zen Buddhist tradition, which means he could kick your ass if he wasn’t so darned peaceful. www.sorenkisiel.com
